Business System Analyst Job Duties:
- Self-motivated, highly driven, result and commitment oriented. Builds strong working relationship with customers, architects, development and QA teams

- Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures

- Full-time client facing job, 80% at client premises in Chicago, IL

Must be able to work with different client stakeholders and prioritize requirements and releases accordingly

Must be able to effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver GUI, interface and screen designs
- Should know how to design and draw use case diagrams, business model diagrams, flow charts etc. (should be familiar with MS Visio tools)
- Leverages experience in assessing scope of work, decomposing high level business requirements and developing lower level stories/tasks
- Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying systemcapabilities; writing specifications
- Support the development and management of project schedules
- Supports the planning and preparation activities related to user acceptance testing efforts, and coordinates cross-functional teams in the execution of testing activities
- Assists QA and development teams in defining test strategy, acceptance criteria, bug fixing and issue resolution
- Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
- Worked in an Agile development environment
Skills Summary:
- 5+ years of experience analyzing, clarifying and translating business/functional requirements into system requirements / specifications.
- 3+ years of experience in design and development with the following technologies/platforms required: Microsoft VB.Net, Oracle / SQL Server, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services.
- Experience in preparing activity/flow diagram using MS Visio
- 1+ year of experience in working on root cause analysis and code debugging
- 3+ year of experience in creating system interface specifications, Systems Architecture Diagrams
- 3+ year of experience in database management and writing store procedures
- Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project
- Experience in Microsoft SharePoint a plus
- Experience in health care and benefits administration domain projects is a plus
- Math/accounting skills a plus
